Dr. Thomas Goodheart, M.D., has been in private practice in Huntington Beach for 30 years is well versed with a variety of chronic and severe illnesses.

As a leading Internal Medicine Physician, he brings warmth, dedication, and decades of experience to his concierge internal medicine practice. Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1991, Dr. Goodheart is known for his thorough, hands-on approach and his deep commitment to treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis. His practice is centered on thoughtful coordination of care and prevention-focused treatment plans, especially for patients managing complex health issues.

Dr. Goodheart grew up in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, the youngest of three children. As the son of a home builder, he learned the importance of hard work, integrity, and attention to detail—qualities that continue to shape his medical practice today.

He began his academic journey at USC, earning a double major in chemistry and biology. He went on to the University of Arizona for medical school and graduate studies in molecular biology. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the UCLA San Fernando Valley Program, and went on to serve as Chief Resident, a faculty member, and Supervisor of Residents at UCLA.

Since 1991, Dr. Goodheart has been on staff at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, where he continues to care for patients with dedication and compassion. Before transitioning fully into private practice, he gained valuable experience working in hospitals, emergency departments, and urgent care centers throughout Southern California.

Dr. Goodheart now lives in Huntington Beach with his wife, children and grandchildren. When he’s not seeing patients, you’ll find him enjoying family time, walking by the beach, or exploring the vibrant local community.
